Dr. Hickham is an engineer, practicing orthodontist, and international lecturer. The name Nola stands for New Orleans, LA where the company was originally established. The company's goals are to provide unique products that otherwise would not be available. Each product is designed to make orthodontic treatment either more efficient, more profitable, or easier for the clinician. Great Lakes Orthodontics acquired NOLA Specialties from Dr. Hickham in January, 2001.
